DeVan Sealants, Incorporated was established in 1949 as Durable Putty Products by Arthur and Ruth DeVan. They built the business by producing and supplying Oil Based Caulking, Putty, and Glazing Compounds to the local hardware market. At its peak Durable Putty Products was supplying every hardware store in the St. Louis metropolitan area except for two tiny stores. In 1956 the firm was reincorporated as deVan Sealants. The firm purchased a building and property and about 1960 moved to our current address.
