Developing Potential. Is a nationally accredited, not-for-profit organization. We're committed to delivering quality services and supports to adults with developmental disabilities so they might lead the most self-directed and fulfilling life possible. DPI started serving the community in 1993 with eight clients at our downtown Kansas City site. Within the next five years, that number grew to 50. In March 2002, to understand the growing need for programs for adults with disabilities, DPI opened a 2nd site in the under-served Kansas City suburb of Independence, Missouri.

Successful habilitation and supports of people with developmental disabilities requires specialized training and knowledge. Developing Potential staff are trained in all areas of personalized supports. Our commitment to quality is seen in not only the sources of our training, but also in the number of trainings we hold each year. Far exceeding state and accreditation requirements, Developing Potential staff attend approximately 25 trainings each year.
