Music Editing has been our primary area of work since 1996. We currently have all the necessary equipment, experience and expertise to get the job done, while maintaining a low overhead. Why is that so important? The main reason people don't use a huge professional studio for tiny projects is that it simply cost too much. Let's face it, they're not overcharging their clientele, they merely had larger projects in mind when they built their studio. That is where Digital Music Services comes in. Here at DMS we were designed from the ground up with smaller projects in mind.

read moreWe didn't really start out to create a business and it's a very interesting story! Mike (founder) was the Sound Engineer for the Heymann Performing Arts Center in Lafayette, LA from 1990 until 1998. The Heymann Center hosts over 20 Dance Recitals each year from the local area dance schools. In 1995, one of those dance schools asked Mike to edit their music for the upcoming recital. Word spread quickly around town that he was editing music. He got so busy, that he had to buy his own equipment and started offering mobile editing services.

From the biggest Radio Stations around the Acadiana area to the smallest parties. After doing a few Weddings they became his passion and he wanted to learn as much as he could about them. The road to becoming the Best DJ he could be for his clients wasn't an easy task. After years of training in various parts of the country, he can finally say he is a "Professional Master of Ceremonies".
Rental Equipment
read morePlease allow us to explain the difference between our rental department and a normal rental business. We are mainly a DJ / Production company that is very active in the business. We have a lot of extra equipment that is only used once in a while by us. We offer to rent this equipment to the public, if it will be available when you need it, and if, we are able to accommodate your requests. As an example, we wouldn't be able to miss DJing someone's wedding because we were waiting for someone to pick up equipment.
