High School in Dearborn, MI Divine Child High School was established by Monsignor Herbert Weier in September 1958 as a co-educational parish school. The school opened with 84 freshmen, two Bernardine Franciscan Sisters, and one athletic coach. The 1st graduating class of 1962, consisted of 69 graduates. The original building consisted of 37, 478 square feet of space including ten classrooms, two science labs, a tiny library, a typing and office machines room, and a study hall room. Since that time, eleven additions have significantly increased the size and facilities of the school.

The Divine Child Band Boosters provide the financial support necessary to continue Divine Child's tradition of musical excellence. The Boosters coordinate fundraising, concerts, afterglows, and equipment moves to and from concert sites.
Alumni Relations
read moreThe Divine Child Alumni Association is dedicated to promoting the spiritual, academic, athletic, social and economic growth of Divine Child High School and to maintaining a network of alumni to provide social activities for all Divine Child High School Alumni. The Divine Child Falcon 5K is an annual public running event held on the Divine Child campus in memory of Mark Carpenter '68. The event includes a tot trot for children as well as a 1-mile fun run and a 5K for all ages. Proceeds from the event benefit the Divine Child Alumni Association and Divine Child High School Girls Cross Country team.
Student Life
read moreOur students develop social skills by participating in many of our sports, clubs and other activities. Divine Child High School offers activities outside of the classroom. From athletics and clubs to summer camps and dances, we allow every student the possibility to share their interests with their peers.
Academics
read moreDivine Child High School offers academic programs for a wide variety of college-bound learners. For students who accelerate in their studies, we offer honors courses beginning freshman year, and numerous Advanced Placement (AP) courses for college credit. For students who need additional help to be successful, our Instructional Support Program (ISP) assists students with mild to moderate learning differences. Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors are required to carry a minimum load of 7 classes per semester while Seniors are required to carry 6 classes per semester.
