For most of its 35 year history, Dr. Siegal's COOKIE DIET was available only to patients of Dr. Siegal and those of about 200 other doctors that he supplied. Then, from 2002 to August 2006, he licensed a firm to open weight management center franchises that used his name, six-cookies-a-day weight-loss system, and hunger-controlling foods. The firm opened centers under various names including Siegal Smart for Life Weight Management Centers. The relationship ended in August 2006.
