Education Through Music Los Angeles, an independent 501(c)3 organization, started in the Fall of 2006 to supply and promote the integration of music into the curricula of disadvantaged schools in order to enhance students' academic performance and creative and general development. ETM-LA supplies yearlong comprehensive music instruction as part of the regular school day and ongoing professional development for teaching artists and teachers. Our program is built on the Education Through Music (ETM) model with over 19 years of success in New York City.
