Elephant Rock

Description of Music: Spokandolin is a mandolin orchestra patterned on the mandolin groups that once were very popular across America. We use the full array of mandolins from the tenor up to the huge mando-cello. Our orchestra performs a selection of pieces that have been arranged specifically for the voicing of the mandolin, and a typical concert might include some Beatles, Chopin, Brazilian choros, and an ancient Carolan aire. Because some of our member players come from Bluegrass backgrounds, a Spokandolin concert might feature an upbeat interlude.
