With cooperation of local pastors, Rockwood Assembly of God was began by Leonard Parker at 182nd and Burnside on November 6, 1956. Soon the church purchased acreage at 178th and Main. The owner, a retired minister, wished to see the land used for a place of worship to the Lord. In 1966 a new building, known as Parker Hall was constructed. Later a 2nd education wing was added.

read moreDan's ministry began at FWC as the youth pastor until they moved to Texas in 1985 and pastored an Assembly of God Church in Jefferson, Texas. They were called back to the Portland/Gresham area in 2001 to become Lead Pastor here at FWC. He is passionate to see families grow closer to the Lord. He also has a heart and desire to support missions/missionaries around the world his leadership reflects that. He has seen part of his vision come to pass with our church becoming debt free in 2015 and he has a desire to support and love our community.

Our Life Groups are open to anyone who wants to grow their faith, learn more about God, and connect with a community of believers.
