First Baptist Church
Religious Organization in Clarksville, TN
As a committee, we've been charged to address the certain requirements of our own generation. In an age increasingly hostile to Christian truth, our challenge is to express the truth as revealed in Scripture, and to bear witness to Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The 1963 committee rightly sought to identify and affirm certain definite doctrines that Baptists believe, cherish, and with which they have been and are now closely identified. Our living faith is founded upon eternal truths.

That's why we follow Jesus' challenge to reach our community, our city, our nation, and our world. At FBCT, missions are a part of our DNA. That's why we work towards a mission strategy that not only makes a difference in Clarksville, but also reaches out and touches our nation and the world. How does God want you to be involved? We work with mission partners to provide opportunities for our church members to participate in projects and activities that allow us to share God's love and the Good News of Jesus Christ.

read moreBaptism is important for every believer as one of the two ordinances given to the Church by Jesus Christ. As a congregation that agrees with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000), and voluntarily cooperates with other Southern Baptist Churches, we believe baptism is by full immersion for those who repent of their sins, confess that Jesus is Lord, and believe Jesus Christ was raised from the dead (Acts 2:37-42; Romans 10:9, 10). Christian baptism is a public testimony symbolizing one's faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior Jesus Christ.
