As part of the Christian Church movement we celebrate Communion with our Lord Jesus Christ each Sunday, uphold the Bible as uniquely authoritative, and affirm the priesthood of all believers. We're truly a Christ centered, biblically based and Spirit led church. 2007 was a special year for First Christian Church as we celebrated our 150th anniversary in Visalia.

The Fountain is a family of individuals who have found hope in Jesus and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom. We are thankful to serve as the vessel through which the living water of Jesus flows through. The Fountain has a 161-year heritage. We are independent and non denominational. Until 2019 we were known as First Christian Church of Visalia. It was the second church founded in the valley, and has gone from meeting in an oak grove, to a brick building downtown, to its current facility, built in 2000.

read moreFrom its founding in 1857, The Fountain (Then First Christian Church) has chosen to focus on the essentials of the faith. Influenced by the Christian Restoration movement, our desire has been to reflect the slogan: "In the essentials, unity; in the non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity." We recognize that the challenge is in determining what those essentials of the faith are. We believe that Jesus is our Lord and Savior, the sole redeemer of all mankind, and that through His atoning sacrifice we can be reconciled with God.
