Through a named fund within the Foundation, donors are able to carry out their objectives in an efficient and effective manner. As a community foundation serving a huge region of Virginia, we work diligently to connect philanthropic resources with important community requirements. With over 200+ endowed funds, 43 million in outright assets and $70 million in future estate commitments, the Foundation awards in excess of $2 million in grants annually.

They were designed to be simple, flexible, convenient, tax-wise, cost-effective and perpetual charitable vehicles. Our Community Foundation was established in Roanoke in 1988. With our growth, we expanded into the Martinsville/Henry County area in 2005.
