Nine Star Education and Employment Services is committed to developing Alaska's workforce through quality education surrounding literacy, job readiness and professional development. Working with kids, adults and senior citizens, Nine Star extends opportunities for the Anchorage community to excel and grow. These programs equip customers with the skills necessary to get a job, keep a job and advance on the job. Set up in 1975 as a broad-based training institution, Nine Star became a private nonprofit corporation in 1978 when it split from the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education.
