read moreGeneral Insurance Services is an independent insurance agency serving Northern Indiana. Our roots go back to the 1930's when we first established agencies in La Porte, later venturing into Michigan City in the 1940's. Over the next 50 years, General Insurance Services continued to grow through acquisitions and mergers. In 1994 we opened our first Porter County office in Chesterton and by 1996 had moved to Valparaiso to better serve our Porter County clients. 2018 brought additional growth as we moved into our own downtown Valparaiso building and opened our first location in Hobart, helping us expand into Lake County.
