In the beginning it was known as Delhomme Swim Supply, the provider of Lycra Racing Swim Suits for local and area competitive swim teams. Most of the Delhomme's participated on few local swim teams. The Delhomme Swim School was set up in 1960 and has taught many Lafayette residents how to swim. JoAnn, her kids, and grandchildren continue teaching today. In 1976, JoAnn and Poochie purchased the property at 207 Jefferson Street and opened their new storefront shop next to the Times of Acadiana Building.
