read moreGFWC Illinois is a philanthropic organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. We are one of fifty (50) states and a dozen countries around the world that make up the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) organization. Nearly 80,000 members strong, GFWC is united in its dedication to volunteer community service. While diverse in age, interests, and experiences, all club women are united by a desire to create positive change in their communities.
About Us
read moreGFWC Illinois was chartered in 1894 and over 120 years later, our members continue to work tirelessly to better their communities and the lives of others. One statewide example is our relationship with Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Illinois. Since 1994, our GFWC Illinois members have been working to eradicate the devastating effects of child abuse through a project we call Our Promise. A Safe Place for Every Child. We raise funds and awareness at our annual Blue Ribbon Fashion Show and Luncheon held each year in early April.
