Ziegler Cooper Architects and the development staff created a plan for The Austonian including 360-degree views; a slender, symmetrical structure created for the Austin skyline; and the use of earth-friendly materials and energy-saving design. The Austonian is pursuing a four-star rating from the City of Austin Green Building Rating System, which is the equivalent to the U. S. Green Building Council's LEED Gold Rating.
