Jan Constas worked for years in the corporate arena, but always dreamed of owning a gift shop. After several corporate buyouts and firm layoffs, she decided to do something that she really enjoyed. Luckily, a local store came up for sale and she was able to purchase it. Seven years later, she has created a thriving business that her clients love. The Gift Box carries a tantalizing collection of primitive, colonial and American presents and home accents. It took a several years to figure out what her clients were seeking, but she realized that you must buy what your client base desires.
