It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and is named for John Mercer Langston, the 1st African American popularly elected to office (1855) founder and 1st dean of Howard University's Law Department, 1st president of Virginia State University, and the 1st black congressman elected from Virginia (1888)

Also includes basic fitting information like loft, lie, hand to floor measurement (for shaft length), and recommendations on shaft and grips. Your fitter will mix and match different clubs and head/shaft combinations for you to hit during the fitting with the goal to maximize your distance. The Launch Monitor will collect data on your club face impact; club face angle; ball launch; ball spin rate; ball speed; club attack angle; and club path.
