Great Lakes Home & Property Inspections
read moreFinding a Michigan home inspector can be just as stressful as finding the home of your dreams, especially since the state of Michigan has no governing body or licensing to oversee the Michigan home inspection industry. This is also true for any investor interested in purchasing a commercial building, anywhere in Michigan. So how do you know your Michigan home or commercial inspector is really qualified? Ask these important questions. Hands on work experience is a key element in learning the building process and the problems that can be encountered through each phase of construction.

Schedule Your Inspection
read moreThe report was very easy to read, and the pictures will be very helpful when it comes time repair the issues that were noted. I like the end section which has a seasonal "things-to-do" checklist, which will serve as a helpful reminder. I am very satisfied with the inspection that was done. Mike was very helpful at pointing out various conditions of the house, along with answering all my questions about the house. Mike was also able to offer advice on future steps to take to maintain/repair the house.

Standards
read moreThe state of Michigan does not regulate or oversee the home inspection industry. For this reason, it's a good idea to hire an inspector that is a member in good standing of one of the national organizations, since their membership requires inspectors to adhere to strict standards of practice and code of ethics. We at Great Lakes Home & Property Inspections are Certified Master Inspectors and proud members of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (interNACHI). As a member, I am required to comply with the most rigorous testing and continued education of any other organization.
