Approaches from the well-conditioned fairways should be played just short of the holes to ensure uphill putts. Because of our changing seasons but temperate climate it is a pleasure to play every day of the year. Begin your round with an uphill, tricky par 5. Splitting the fairway bunkers but favoring the right side will allow the longer hitter an easier shot at the green in two. For everyone else, a well-positioned second shot will leave a short iron to a large green that slopes from left to right.

Sydney Jones ranch, then the world's largest cherry orchard and on March 6, 1950 the first General Membership meeting was held.
