Having been interested in concrete construction at an early age, Gene spent his high school and college summers working for his uncle's construction firm. This wet his interest to pursue a degree in Engineering. While completing his civil engineering studies, Gene had the possibility to compete for the University of Hawaii's gymnastics staff, on an athletic scholarship. Gene serves as a State of California Subject Matter Expert and Court Certified Expert Witness.
