Hagar Restaurant Service was established in 1956 by Lorn Hagar and his wife, Adele. Lorn began his career in the restaurant business as a service technician in the San Francisco area. After a little more than a year of working in commercial kitchens in the Bay area, Lorn decided to move back home to Oklahoma and start a firm of his own. The firm was originally called Hagar Range Repair and serviced only the hot side of both commercial and domestic cooking equipment.
