In 1993, Russ VanConant went to work for Hardwood Floor Company. In October of 1997, he had the possibility to purchase the firm that he loved working for, so he did. Russ speedily recognized the potential of perfecting his craft, and decided that it would be his mission to supply the finest in wood flooring service possible. With the aid of his mother, Jan, running the show room, and his sister, Pam, maintaining the books, Russ started with one part-time worker, who assisted him with installations and sanding and refinishing projects. Within a year's time, his crew grew to five full-time employees working within the field.
