Heat Pipe Technology. Was established by Mr. Khanh Dinh in 1983. With funding fromprivateinvestors and a grant from the Department of Energy, HPT started research on newuses for heat pipes, a passive heat transfer device previously used in various applications varying from orbiting satellites to the Alaskan Pipeline ground spikes. By applying the principle of heat pipes to air conditioning systems, the dehumidification performance and efficiency was greatly enhanced, with moisture removal increased by 30 to 50% However, to lower fabrication costs, research and development was required.
