read moreThis 20-story building, which offers 43,000 SF per floor, required upgrades to its entire heating, ventilating and air-conditioning infrastructure. Rehabilitation was undertaken on a floor-by-floor basis and generally included total demolition followed by the installation of a new VAV heating and air-conditioning system. We designed a complement of 13 modular-type gas-fired boilers for installation in the building's penthouse. Hot water was pumped around the building for use in the new VAV system.

read moreHEA is seeking mechanical engineers with experience in designing HVAC and plumbing systems for a wide variety of building/facility renovation and new construction projects. Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. In addition to engineering design, duties will include writing mechanical and plumbing specifications; CAD drafting; coordinating with staff electrical engineers; and coordinating with clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies. Experience with REVIT is strongly desired.
