Howren Music & Sound

Howren Music and Sound was began in 1948 by John B. Howren, Sr. Jack) He has been the Director of Music at Belmont Central High School, where his band was awarded first place in a national competition, Jack taught the traveling Glee Club at Belmont Abbey College, and he played violin in the Charlotte Symphony. He was instrumental (no pun intended) in getting North Carolina to add Music Education to its curriculum. Jack taught his wife, Saint Claire, and his 4 sons how to operate the business. He formed Howren Music and Sound into one of the most popular full-service music dealers with access to 1000's of musical products.
