James W. Hunyadi, a native of Akron, Ohio, graduated from the University of California, Irvine, prior to obtaining his medical degree from the University of Kansas in 1980. From 1980 to 1987, he completed residencies in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been a plastic surgeon in the Toledo area since 1988 and has served with medical missions to Ecuador, Africa and the Dominican Republic.

As a participating physician, he accepts the amount approved by the insurance company as payment in full and absorbs the non-approved portion of the fee.
