Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Stephen studied and worked extensively in Manhattan, graduating from Robert Fiance School of Hair Design. He continued his advanced training at David Daines Madison Avenue Collection, where he became Senior Stylist and Advanced Educator. Stephen was trained in advanced haircutting personally by Daines, who came from London as Creative Director for Vidal Sassoon's New York City salon, and by other educators from the original Sassoon team.
