Ingrassia Interior Elements

Salvatore Ingrassia moved to Rockford with his family in 1902. Salvatore opened the cities 2nd Italian-American grocery store on South Main Street. This was the humble beginning of the Ingrassia families retail history. In 1922, two of Salvatore's sons, Nunzio and Joe established Ingrassia Brothers Furniture and Hardware. Few years later Nunzio and Joe separated the business and Nunzio relocated Ingrassia Furniture to 1032 South Main Street (Lucky for us, as eventually the hardware building burned down)
