Emergencies
read moreIf you do not recieve a call within 10 minutes of paging please call again. If you are not able to reach us within 10 minutes of your second call we may be unavailable and we recommend that you immediately contact another veterinary service. Emergencies consist of but are not limited to: lacerations, colic, acute lameness, foaling issues, neurologic issues, eye problems, choke, and systemic illness. While the above are recommendations concerning when to call, your judgment is best and if you are at all concerned please do not hesitate to call.
Vaccination

In addition to a regular de-worming program, adequate dental care, and a routine physical exam, vaccinations can help to prevent or at least reduce the likelihood and severity that your horse will contract certain diseases. I generally approach vaccination strategies based upon the risk of your horse contracting the disease and the eventual effect or consequence of that particular disease. The following recommendations are for a mature non-pregnant, pleasure horse.
