read moreThe WDI inspector will walk around the property, basement and the interior of the home looking for any visible evidence of wood destroying insects that can cause structural damage such as, but not limited to termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, and powder post beetles. If evidence of previous treatment for wood destroying insects is found, the homeowner should be asked to provide evidence that the home is under a current guarantee with a pest control company. If the homeowner cannot provide evidence of a guarantee, then the home should be treated again.

read moreA material defect is a problem with real property that would have a significant adverse impact in the value of the property or that involves an unreasonable risk to people on the property. Components of the home that are at or near the end of its normal useful life is not by itself, a material defect. EIFS/Dryvit or manufactured stone, then yes you should have invasive testing performed by a qualified stucco inspector. The home inspector will perform a visual examination only of the exterior which has a stucco product applied.

read moreThe water samples collected at the time of inspection are picked up by Suburban Water Testing Labs in Reading, Pa shortly after the inspection for processing. It takes five business days to process the samples. Some samples can be expedited (for an additional fee) in three to four days depending on the contaminant being tested. This lab performs all analyses of drinking water as a PA DEP certified and NELAP accredited laboratory. The lab can test for many contaminants in the water and a test can be tailored around your needs; however, the most requested test is called the Domestic Suitability Screening.

We perform inspections only and do not treat for pests or wood destroying insects so we can perform an unbiased inspection.
