Richard has been involved professionally with the marine industry since college. He graduated from Florida Tech with a degree in Marine Technology. After college, Strauss was hired by Sea Ray Boats and worked in Product Development and Engineering as a technician, at 1st, and was speedily promoted to director of cruisers and performance boats. A several years later, he was hired by Regal Marine Industries as Design Engineer Manager and later promoted to Director of Engineering.
