As the family pursued their dreams, some left Samoa and travelled, and others actually performed in the 1st stage show at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Hawaii. The family eventually came to California, where Susianna, one of the daughters born in Samoa, has been entertaining and catering since the 1970's. Today, many of the descendants, raised in the family traditions, continue to share them with your families and friends. Although we work with many resorts and corporations, we love the huge and tiny family gatherings.

read moreIn 1970, Islanders Luau was formed with the hard work and creative vision of Susiana, a young Samoan mom, in a small shop in Riverside. She trained dancers and musicians who have been performing all over SoCal ever since. Her children, Masina and Maril, danced for her show at an early age. Her brothers, sisters, and husband were lassoed into the Hawaiian band to the delight of audiences. Her Islanders Luau became such a hit, that Susiana decided to try her hand at catering. Susiana's motto was to, "Embrace the best things from your own culture and combine them with the best things in your new culture".
