Since bringing the 1st LASIK system to Santa Barbara, I've made it my priority to supply the highest available LASIK technology for my patients. So i am very glad to offer you another 1st: the Wavelight Allegretto Wave Eye-Q Custom LASIK System. Other, older, technologies currently in use in the Santa Barbara area - Visx and the B&L 217z - are broad beam lasers originally designed to etch flat computer chips for IBM. By contrast, my new Wavefront Optimized treatment considers the unique curvature and biomechanics of the eye.
