Our family of four wanted a quiet relaxing vacation during our kids's Fall Break. We wanted it to be different than long weekend theme park rush, so we choose to fly to Pensacola Florida. We had heard that the beaches were several of the finest in Florida-quiet and not too expensive. The only problem was that Hurricane Ivan had put a damper on our plans for Pensacola. The hotel we were to stay at was closed for major repairs, and so were many others in the area. We then switched our reservations 2 hours E to Panama City Beach.
