read moreWhether it's at the high school level or the college level, Lauren Cook, Dean of College and Gap-Year Advising and WACAC past president, reminds us what is at risk and what is at stake when we talk about standardized testing in an important essay for the National Association for College Admission Counseling. Are you interested in applying to JCHS? This year, we will expand the school's existing test-optional program to encompass TEST-FREE admissions for ALL applicants. This means that JCHS will not accept SSAT, ISEE, or any other standardized test scores as part of the admissions process.
About Us
read moreAt JCHS, the building we care most about has always been building relationships. Relationships among students, between students and educators, and across families and circles of community. Our capacity to build community is especially important now while launching a school year online in the shadow of a pandemic. This unprecedented school year starts with the largest JCHS student body -- nearly 190 students -- ever! Relationships are everything! It is through those relationships, even (especially) online that JCHS students are empowered to cultivate new and existing passions, take healthy risks, and become the best version of themselves.

We consider every family's individual situation carefully. While each family is asked to contribute financially toward their student's education, we encourage anyone sincerely interested in attending JCHS to apply to our Flexible Tuition Program, even if you have concerns about your family's capacity to afford full tuition. Our admissions process operates separately from decisions about the Flexible Tuition program.

Support JCHS

Giving to JCHS will help ensure that our students not only receive a challenging and rigorous academic education, but also discover their values as Jews and as citizens of the world. JCHS graduates embrace Jewish teachings and traditions, give back as volunteers and donors, and participate in their communities with a sense of personal responsibility. A gift to JCHS is an investment in the future. Every gift makes a difference for our students and every gift is appreciated.
