read moreWe are a middle school with a true sense of community. Our students serve in our school, but also provide service to the community as they fill their annual service requirements. Our families bond together through service to each other and our community. Some of our favorite activities are Beautification Day, Parent Coffees, Spaghetti Supper, and Motown. We work hard and have fun serving each other! 2. We offer excellent options in all three As; academics, arts, and athletics. Middle School is the perfect time to try new things and develop new skills.
About Us
read moreJ.T. Moore Middle Prep is a diverse, International Baccalaureate world school that aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. We engage students, families, and the community to help students become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right. The school opened in September 1969. Named for John Trotwood Moore, a noted Tennessee librarian, archivist, historian, novelist, and lecturer, J.T. Moore Middle is located at the intersection of Granny White Pike and Lone Oak Road on property that originally was the site of Mr. Moore's Victorian mansion.
