read moreJohn's Shoe Repair was founded in 1955 by a German immigrant named John Engelbrecht. Over the next 20 years, John and his wife Maria built a thriving business by providing their customers with expert quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service. Those standards proudly remain the cornerstone of John's Shoe Repair today. Sadly, John passed away unexpectedly in 1975. Following John's death Maria continued the business until 1978 when she sold the company to Tim Herwaldt, a young man who had apprenticed under Maria following John's death.
