Direct brow lift is performed via incisions above the brow or in the creases in the forehead or hairline. Internal brow lift is performed in conjunction with an upper blepharoplasty (Eyelid lift). Through the same upper eyelid crease incision the brow fat pad is sculpted and inferior traction released to raise the temporal brow. Frown lines between the brows (glabellar folds) can be improved and the medial brow elevated which provides a permanent Botox-like effect by removing the brow furrow muscles.
