Thankful Nursing started October 2, 2006. Thankful Nursing was begun do to the 24hr home health requirements of a young lady by the name of Joy, who due to an unfortunate accident in 2003 while undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia became a quadriplegic. Joy is a very positive 24 year old with three years of her four year bachelors degree in nursing complete. Joy is determined to go forward in life and refuses to let her disability get her down. Joy was a resident of Germany for seven years and just returned to the US in August 2006.
