Jubilee Christian School

In September of 1987, one teacher and five Kindergartners met in a classroom of the Beverly Heights Presbyterian Church in Mt. Lebanon. With little equipment, but much love and educational experience the families started to talk to other families about the success of the integrated curriculum both academically and spiritually, and its capability to instill a love of learning in youngsters.

read moreA. We have a variety of Christian denominations represented in our school. We currently draw from over 25 churches in and around the Pittsburgh area. Students are taught from a Biblically based, Christian worldview. All JCS teachers, administrators and members of the Board of Trustees sign our statement of faith. A. All teachers who are employed by JCS sign our statement of faith and give a personal testimony of their faith in Christ. They exhibit the fruit of the spirit in their classrooms, and teach from a Christian perspective.

read moreOne of the most distinctive aspects of Jubilee Christian School is our integrated approach to learning. First and foremost, this approach is centered around God as Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer. At Jubilee, He is central to everything we teach and study. Each class, in grades K-6th, has a monthly unit theme that is integrated across the various subject areas. These monthly unit themes often focus on science, social studies, and language arts. Monthly field experiences are unit focused and narrow in scope to help the student make the connection of the unit study with real life.
