The capability to write a CD/DVD or other available medium does not necessarily mean that the "master" is now written to industry standards. Often times there are proprietary codes and/or other extra information embedded into the master contents which may allow the software utilized to run more efficiently, - but may also cause malfunctions in unsupported equipment once the master is copied.
