Keaton Raphael Memorial

In the following nine months, our doctors at UC Davis Medical Center started a very aggressive treatment approach. It was discovered that a cutting-edge clinical trial was taking place at Boston's Children's Hospital. This treatment was New Hope and provided Keaton a 70% chance of survival. Together, UC Davis and Boston's Dana Farber Cancer Institute started a coordinated care program for Keaton. Without hesitation, as a family, we flew to Boston. In December of 1997, Keaton started a double bone marrow transplant.
