Craige Brawley Liipfert & Walker LLP was established in 1832 and is North Carolina's oldest law company. Begun in Salisbury by four-term U. S. Rep. Burton Craige, our company initially specialized in representing railroads in the years prior to the Civil War. We opened a 2nd office in Winston-Salem in 1917 and since 1959 have been housed exclusively in Winston-Salem. Today, while we still represent railroads, that accounts for just a fraction of our work.
