The Kelleher's family immigrated to America from Ireland in the 1700's. They settled in the quaint Midwestern town of Elkader Iowa. In the 1940's, Peoria, Illinois became home for nice. Kelleher's Irish Pub & Eatery is a family run and operated establishment, where everyone is Irish and everyone is welcome which is extended one hundred fold. Kelleher's is situated on Peoria's historic downtown riverfront and is located in one of its oldest warehouses. The building was founded in the late 1800's for a farm implement and plow firm. Later the city of Peoria purchased it for a horse barn for their Fire Department.

If the weather permits you can sit down outside and enjoy the wonderful riverfront view with the occasional passing train. If you prefer to stay inside you can sit in the atrium next to the fireplace and still enjoy the riverfront view.
