read moreKEMPF Inc. was founded in California in the summer of 2007 with the purpose of adapting automobiles for drivers with a different mobility in the USA. We were asked very early on, to adapt a training vehicle at the James Haley Veterans Administration Medical Center in Tampa, FL, so we opened an installation facility in Tampa Florida, in February 2008. At 23, studying physics and chemistry in Strasbourg, France, Jean-Pierre Kempf decided he wanted to drive a car just using his hands. It was 1954 and the only transportation he had had since he lost the use of his legs due to polio at the age of two, was a tricycle.
