About Us
read moreKimberly Crest Veterinary Hospital was created by Drs. Merle Lang and Ken Knutstrom. The practice originated on Harrison Street but moved to Kimberly Road in 1969 where you can find it today. Dr. Donald Lantow and Dr. Roger Laimans joined the partnership in 1969 and 1970, respectively. Kimberly Crest began as a mixed large and small animal practice, but due to the areas changing needs, the practice became a small animal exclusive hospital in 1972. Kimberly Crest Veterinary Hospital has been a member of The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) since 1979.
Dental Prophylaxis & Procedures
read moreOnce your pet has been intubated and put under gas anesthesia, we start taking full mouth radiographs, just like at your dentist's office. Each radiograph is evaluated by the veterinarian to check for any hidden problems. Then each tooth is checked for mobility and gingival pockets around the tooth due to gingival disease. If there are any teeth that need to be extracted, the veterinarian would extract them at this time. The teeth then are ultrasonically cleaned by a certified veterinary technician with our scaler to remove the calculus and tartar that has accumulated.
Wellness Exams
read moreWellness examinations are essential for the long term heath of our pets. These are examinations on animals that "appear healthy" versus an ill animal visit. These examinations allow us not only evaluate our patient, but also communicate with you regarding your pet's lifestyle. These examinations are part of a preventative health care plan to maintain your pet's optimal health. We recommend wellness exams at least twice yearly; more frequent examinations may be recommended for patients with chronic disease processes.
Advanced Imaging Techniques
read moreImaging scopes offer a minimally invasive approach to see what's going on inside the body. We have four different types of scopes: Endoscope, Laparoscope and a Rigid Scope. These scopes allow us to identify abnormalities and perform a variety of procedures including foreign body retrieval and biopsies. An endoscope is a flexible tube with a viewing port that is inserted either into the stomach through the mouth, the colon via the rectum, or into the lungs through the mouth. The endoscope allows full viewing of the esophagus, stomach, upper part of the small intestine, the colon or lung alveoli.

We can and will complete health certificates for countries not listed; we just may need extra time to research the requirements.
