About Us
read moreWe offer many services including thorough physical exams, vaccines, same day blood-work, x-rays and dental procedures. We also do surgical procedures including some orthopedics. Our most recent update is our new digital dental x-ray machine. This helps us with extractions of teeth to make sure none of the root is left behind which can cause problems later on. At The Animal Hospitable we have a fully equipped laboratory to evaluate your pet's health, a surgical suite with the latest in anesthesia and monitoring equipment, a radiology area for x-rays and a modern dental facility.
What to Expect
read moreOnce a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam, and may include teeth and gum cleaning if needed. Our doctors will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to The Animal Hospitable for service. Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic. It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team.

Vaccinations
read moreWe recommend only doing two vaccines in one visit, any other needed vaccinations can be given 2 weeks later. This is to help avoid the possibility of vaccine reactions. Core vaccinations are vital to all pets based on the risk of exposure, severity of disease or transmissibility to humans. Lifestyle vaccinations are recommended based on your pet's individual lifestyle. We like all puppies and kittens to have 3 rounds of deworming (for intestinal parasite). Dewormers can only kill certain life stages of the worms, so a series of dewormings is necessary.
Euthanasia
read moreWe know that end of life decisions and planning are difficult, our doctors can help you make informed decisions about your pets health and well-being. We offer a variety of cremation and disposal options through Pine Rest Pet Cemetery. For a lasting memento of your pet we offer an ink paw print with a lock of their fur.
Other FAQs
read moreWe weigh your pet at each visit because it can be a huge indicator if there's an issue going on. Sometimes if nothing else has changed in their routine but they are gaining/losing weight can be an indicator of underlying health issues. We also like to weigh them to make sure that they are getting to correct dose for medications. We recommend starting flea, tick and heartworm prevention as soon as possible. The preventatives we use are dispensed based on the weight range your dog/cat falls into.
