In 1884, Ernesto Larco came to America and began a tradition. Using old-world family recipes, he opened popular restaurants along the East Coast, raised a family, and passed on his recipes to his sons Pete, Mike and Nick. After the Great Depression and serving in the armed forces in World War II, his sons carried on the tradition began by their father and opened Larco's Inn in Detroit. Today, the type of fine cuisine that Ernesto Larco 1st served back in the roaring twenties lives on in relaxed.
