Last Chance Recording Studio

In 1985, Mike began Songbird Productions, doing live sound and lights, and DJ work in between band gigs. He was promoting and producing live shows such as the annual Cow Chip Jam at Smitty's Farm, Black Flag featuring Henry Rollins, Steve Morse Band (from Dixie Dregs) and reggae great Pablo Moses. Mike has worked front of house and the deck at clubs and Civic Center shows for the Fixx, UB40, George Jones, Merle Haggard, and Loretta Lynn. In 1994 he and his buddy, Skyhouse guitarist Tom Henning, began recording friends on their 8-Track Tascam DA-88 as Buckwheat Jones Recording Studio.
